My Father at 100 by Ron Reagan.

This book caused huge controversy in the U.S. as Ron asserts that the early signs of Alzheimers Disease were in evidence at the White House, this will probably surprise no one as there were many times when Ronald Regan seemed to have dropped the ball, luckily for us he didn't drop the nuclear coordinates box and send us all into the stratosphere.
The book deals mainly with Ronald Regan's growing up years and as such is very well researched. In a family known for ghastly infighting Ron writes about his father with understanding, compassion and love, their very distant relationship was as good as it could be, Ron writes beautifully about his fathers last illness and his passing. In my opinion the Son has done a good job writing about a Father who was basically unavailable emotionally throughout Ron's life but was physically available when Ron was a young boy.
The Gipper would be proud!
