Magazines... Candy Floss for the brain!

This weeks crop covers weight loss, new bodies, marriages, divorces, ill health, new babies, palace plotting, xmas shopping, xmas baking...nothing particularly new but some heart wrenching stories from the families of the Pike River 29 which are handled with dignity and restraint.
The Woman's Day farewells it's Editor Sarah Henry who in my opinion will be sorely missed, she has done a really great job at the helm of this magazine. She has made it far sparklier, brighter and out there than her competitors, at times its bordered on the Yuck! But one could never call it sluggish. The new Editor is Sido Kitchin whose last gig was helming the Woman's Weekly which has a tendency to be decidedly sluggish at times, it will be very interesting to see how it goes. Nicky Pellegrino is Acting Editor and has done a good job so far.
The Listener has it's Best 100 Books Issue, and its a cracker!
