The Presidents Club...inside the world`s most exclusive fraternity by Nancy Gibbs and Michael Duffy

An insider`s look at the most exclusive club in the world, that to which you can only belong if you are an ex president of the United States.
Formed by Harry Truman and Herbert Hoover, the function of this club is to provide support for those who were once President and those who are currently the President, it crosses party lines and beliefs and provides the kind of support that only those who have been in the job can provide.
There are all kinds of perks and priviliges and lots of benefits should wish to partake and there are lots of opportunities to use your left over energy to benefit your country after your term/terms end. Life does not come to an end should you wish to involve and or reinvent yourself after a spell of rest and relaxation.
A very well researched and written book, it flows seamlessly from President to President and never gets bogged down in facts or figures. It shows the way that each former President has chosen to contribute, the wonderful friendships that have been made, the disagreements, the swollen ego`s and the humbleness and humanity that roll alongside the petty tantrums and unwanted phone calls that can characterise a club members personality. There are wonderful photos, humorous stories and way out there tales but as a chapter of history this book adds a considerable volume to the telling and would be an ideal read for any one who has even the slightest interest in American Presidential History.
And who would ever imagine the day that Jeb Bush would call across to Bill Clinton " Over here brother from another mother" at a Bush Family Photoshoot!
